The History of Domestic Violence Essay - 2946 Words

Domestic Violence is a critical issue negatively impacting women in the world today. There has to be something done to prevent this type of abuse from happening. The results of my research revealed that there are many victims that do not know the type of help that is available and there needs to be major improvement in the way domestic violence cases are handled. Based on my findings, awareness and prevention programs should be implemented in every state in order prevent this type of abuse from happening over and over. Also, each program must be monitored to ensure they are following the proper guidelines in order to better serve the victims and their families. Today, there has been some improvement concerning the laws that have been enforced in order to protect women from this type of abuse. Over the last ten years there have been a number of surveys on domestic violence that have been published from around the world. The problem of domestic violence is on the rise and causing more harm than ever to its victims and their family. Even though there are so many domestic violence cases in the world today, there are still many people in the United States today that are unaware of how serous this crime has become. Being male or female is an essential aspect that makes up and helps individuals with their personality and the way they feel about themselves. Staff may also need to be well supervised as not all of them listen and follow instructions and hence need someone to be tough on them. When there is no time to involve the stuff, and a quick decision is needed, then this approach is needed as it saves time. The style is also effective when duties are to be delegated and shared to other organizations. As much as it is necessary to use this type of leadership often, there are situations where it is not a good idea to use it. This is when I get tense, and other employees are fearful, employees need to have their opinions heard, the employees only need their leader to make decisions for them. Therefore, it may lead to low staff morale and absenteeism. Bureaucratic Leadership Style This is the kind of leadership style that operates by the book. Bureaucratic leadership is where everything is done according to the procedure. It is well effective when the staff needs to be taught certain rules and procedures, their safety is paramount, and they need to be well coached and often more preferred when the type of work is where cash is involved.
